I have a cardinal rule where i don't believe in paying a fee to have a credit card. I'm not opposed to signing up for a card that has a fee if it's waived the first year (and then cancelling it) but I will never pay a fee.
With the Sportsmans Warehouse Visa (from US Bank) it said no annual fee. I have double checked the application to make sure I didn't misunderstand and you can see it lists $0 in the annual fee box. https://www.usbank.com/personal/pdf/Sportsmans_MuleDeer_App.pdf
Then I come to find out after the fact that it does charge an annual fee of $29 for not having the right credit score. How is that allowed to be done that way? https://applications.usbank.com/oad/catalog/terms.controller?step=display&locationCode=9699&productId=60
Getting 3x points with the Sportsman Warehouse credit card isn't worth it if it will cost $29 per year.
