Um, no, hence the use of "ONLY" in my message. Statement credits, and cash out checks, are 1:0.5, a lousy deal.

Bingo. I guess they can write it off or something. I mean, why wouldn't they do it with statement credits? For a second, I was starting to get interested in the TYP (especially after receiving 27 pre-approved offers for it last week), but I guess their rewards program is still as lame as I thought it was. Thanks for your insight!

I use the points to get WalMart gift cards. It's a good value to me.
