Got Approved for Barclays

Postby nvtech » Wed Apr 24, 2013 3:56 pm

Guys,

Just applied for a Priceline visa...2x in everywhere card.

Decision was pending.
Gave a quick call in the next 5 mins to the reconsideration line and I got approved for 6k.

Used to have a Schwab 2% card but after it died, never applied for a 2x card until today.

I guess I am back to the 2x game.

Congrats! I just recently applied and was approved for the Arrival World Mastercard. Figured it doesn't hurt to begin a relationship with the world's 6th oldest bank.

In related news, I discovered Barclays only pulls from TransUnion...which is good, since it keeps the inquiries on Experian (the most used) minimized.
AMEX: PRG Gold, Business Simply Cash, Business Costco, BCE.
Chase: United MileagePlus Club, Sapphire Preferred, Amazon Rewards
Barclaycard Arrival World Mastercard
HSBC Cash or Fly World Mastercard
USAA World Mastercard, USAA Platinum Mastercard
Wells Fargo Business Platinum
USC Credit Union Mastercard

Thank you !

Also as you told...Barclays pulls from Transunion and I do not have a single inquiry in that bureau for last 3 years.
I still dont understand why Transunion is always way exaggerated in scoring.

Congratulations on the approval, nvtech. Did you opt for the Shatner version? Don't think I would want a card with him on it. Kaley Cuoco is a different story, though.
Bank of America: BankAmericard Cash Rewards ($10k); Accelerated Cash Rewards ($12k)
Chase: Freedom ($2.6k); Amazon.com Rewards ($5k)
American Express: Blue Card Everyday ($14k)
Citibank: Forward ($7k); ThankYou ($10.5k)
Discover: More ($14.5k)
Barclaycard US: Barclaycard Ring ($9.4k)
GECRB: Banana Republic ($4.5k); Amazon.com Store Card ($10k)
Comenity: J. Crew ($3.6k)

Thanks man..I have opted out of the Shatner version...His face takes up more than 30% of the place on card...Using this card at some unknown places or with cashier's who do not not know Shatner might think me as Shatner.. ;-)

If you go through the barclaycardus.com , you would see a 1% card.

If you go through the priceline.com and look for their credit card, you would find the 2x card.
