Best card for helping to pay off student debt

Postby j89808 » Tue Apr 23, 2013 7:53 pm

I have found Citi TY points to be fairly useful, I've used the Citi Forward 5x to help make contributions towards my student debt. I am curious if there are other Citi Cards or other rewards programs that are especially useful and helping to make of student loans.
Amex: MB Platinum, PRG, BCE
Chase: Chase Sapphire Preferred, Freedom
Citi: Forward
CapitalOne: VentureOne
Discover: DiscoverIT
BofA: Cash Rewards (Visa Sig)

Mileage Bonuses: Delta Gold, Delta Platinum Business, British Airways

I'm guessing a card (not necessarily Citi) with a super low APR and no-fee balance transfer would be the best bet for slowly paying off a student loan debt. Isn't the Citi Diamond Preferred good for that?
AMEX: PRG Gold, Business Simply Cash, Business Costco, BCE.
Chase: United MileagePlus Club, Sapphire Preferred, Amazon Rewards
Barclaycard Arrival World Mastercard
HSBC Cash or Fly World Mastercard
USAA World Mastercard, USAA Platinum Mastercard
Wells Fargo Business Platinum
USC Credit Union Mastercard

If you buy stuff at drug stores, supermarkets or gas, the Citi TYP 5x for 12 months can give you lots of TY points.
