Visa/MC Gift Cards Now PIN Enabled

Postby Gamma » Fri Apr 05, 2013 12:20 am

Why is this in rewards section? Because it's an easy way to earn points/miles/cashback, especially if you got to meet a spending requirement, like me after my little mini app spree few days ago.
PIN available now for selected Visa/MC giftcards - FlyerTalk Forums

So now they made it that much easier for people to go ahead and basically buy cash with credit card by buying Visa gift cards and using it to purchase money orders or fund BB.

Excellent, I just started using Amazon Payments and I was a little worried about raising flags with $500 transfers. In my limited experience I know 7-Eleven charges a dollar for money orders, can you get them for free at banks or elsewhere?
$2500 First Hawaiian Bank (6/10)
$4500 CHASE Freedom (2/13)
$3500 Citi Forward (2/13)
$2000 Discover it (2/13)
$9600 AMEX BCE (3/13)
$10000 CHASE Sapphire Preferred (7/13)
$5000 CHASE Ink Plus (8/13)

Oh gosh potentially supermarket cash back too...this becomes much easier than Bluebird. Slightly less lucrative but closer to the amount of effort I feel like putting in :)

So what prepaid cards can be funded by debit (We all know about BB and Serve)? Buying 20 $500 money orders from wal mart a week would be a pain too...

Off to google I go...

Not Used
Citi Simplicity - 5K, Sam's Club Discover - 10K

Future Cards
Sallie Mae World Mastercard

FICOs

Cashback, where have you been man?!

I'm going to be funding the mess out of Bluebird. But, will it work?

Either way, this solves my question about what to do with my Visa Platinum cash rewards. I'm converting over to the Platinum rewards. My grocery store sells all sorts of GCs.

Turning them into cash is the hard part... Im doing Bill Pay with the RushCard right now but I hate getting paper checks in the mail everyday. Serve is so nice, you can just transfer to your bank account, but it's lmited to $2500/mo. (MPs)

Why not just send checks to creditors?

Well, I'm going to use mine to pay bills. Regarding a conversion to cash, all I need to do is find a place that lets me buy MPs, PPs, and Beans with debit. I can make things happen that way.
