Why do people keep saying that Citi Forward gives 5% back? It just gives you 5x points on bookstores. Whether you actually get 5% of the amount you spent back depends on the conversion rate you get (which for statement credits or cash is pretty crappy).
Blue Cash Preferred ($24K), Costco TrueEarnings ($8K), Better Balance Rewards ($6K), CashForward ($15K), Sallie Mae Rewards ($10K), Quicksilver ($17K), AARP Rewards ($15K), Freedom ($15K), Double Cash ($16.5K), It ($28.5K), Fidelity Investment Rewards ($18K), Cash+ ($11K)

I redeemed mine for gift cards at a good conversion rate. I"m eventually going to get a check for a student loan payment as well.

If you're smart about redeeming the points, its 5%. If the "promotion" goes away, then you can always switch the cash+ category to book stores the next quarter at that time, but use the forward until then so you can choose another category.

Did you find if Cash+ is treating your Amazon.com purchases as a bookstore. If someone can confirm, I will sign up for this in the next quarter. Currently signed up for Restaurants and Department Store in my 2 categories.

Just use the Electronics category to go to Best Buy to buy Amazon Kindle GCs to get 5% at Amazon. And you probably shop at other electronics stores for other things as well.

Amex BCE: 3% grocery, 2% gas
Bank of America Better Balance Rewards MC: $25/quarter bonus
Barclaycard Rewards Visa Signature: 2% gas, groceries, utilities
Capital One Quicksilver Visa Signature: 1.5% everything
Chase Freedom Visa Signature: 5% rotating
Citi Forward Visa: 5% restaurants/fastfood, movie theaters, amazon.com
Discover It: 5% rotating
SallieMae MC: 5% Groceries, Gas, Amazon
US Bank Cash+ Visa Signature: 5% electronic stores, restaurants
Sock Drawered: Chase Sapphire, Chase Amazon
