I did make one lump some payment yesterday. Unfortunately US Bank considers the posting date of transaction as eligibility rather than the actual date of transaction.

Nope. I'm going to use gift card to pay my bills moving forward. I'm going to buy them at the grocery store with 6% and 3% cards. I did pay my insurance for six months.

US Bank paid 5% cash back based on transaction date and not posting date.

I was surprised and happy to see 5% cash back on transactions done on 31st Mar - Sunday- which was posted on 2nd April 2013 when I was expecting 1%.

I was surprised too to see the same my self for one of the 5% cash back transaction I made on March 31st.
I made a $1200 payment for my Auto Insurance and the transaction posted on April 3rd.
Never was expecting it but In the end I was able to see the 5% cash back.
