I don't have anything negative to say about that.

I actually think I will use some to pay some debt down. That's a cost savings.

To get $4k in rewards you need to spend $100k on the card (at a 4% bonus rate).

How do you plan to do this? I can't find VR cards anywhere, just gift cards at drug stores.

I would app for this card today if I could. My new chase card statements cut with a balance unexpectedly. I want to show my accounts with a zero balance.

It's pretty hard to have a card you use for daily purchases to cut with a completely zero balance. Some transactions may hit late.
Cards:
American Express Platinum (NPSL)
Penfed Platinum Reward Visa ($28K)
Chase Freedom Visa ($25K)
Fidelity American Express ($20K)
American Express Blue Cash Preferred ($20K)
Bank of America Cash Rewards MasterCard ($20K)
Citi Thank You Preferred Visa ($9.5K)
Chase Sapphire Preferred ($7.5K)
US Bank Cash + Visa Signature ($7K)
Discover IT ($4K)

So you're getting $60k in gift cards for after the TYP promo is over?

Not for later use. The game is buying cash equivalents and figuring out ways to liquidate them into cash while making a % "profit".

I think the best way to be able to keep earning the profit and not get shut down is to use the BlueBird like you would a checking account. I plan to withdraw some cash, pay a bill or two by check, and swipe the card the same way I would swipe a debit card.

Churning deals live the life of any loophole.

1.) It gets discovered.
2.) It gets used.
3.) Too many people find out and the company catches wind of it.
4.) Loophole closed.

VR's will probably be dead soon. So get it while ya can.

Agreed. I am more worried about my personal cards getting shut down.

I think the prepaid debit cards will be around for a while. That will help me get by if VRs get shut down.

I actually think that VRs will be around a while. These companies want to increase their revenues by getting swipe fees that don't use cards and banks.
