Well, I changed up my plan a bit. I'm going to hold off on the Priceline Visa for now. I saw the thread on Fatwallet for the $400 Cashback with $1000 spend in 90 days on NFL Cards and I figured I'd jump on that offer and get the SallieMae MC too. Of course the NFL Card ended up being Barclays too! That's way more Cashback then I would earn on the 2% for general spending with Priceline. So apparently I'm now a Dolphins fan (there was only one or two links/teams left that work for $1k spend instead of $2.5k). I applied for the NFL Card and got approved for $8k limit. Then right after I applied for the SallieMae card and the application is being reviewed :( I hope they approve that one cuz I really wanted it. Should I call and speak with someone, or just wait and see?

Thanks guys! This forum is great. I just called up and he said based on my income, the amount they extended to me on the NFL card was the maximum they can give me, but in order to get the SallieMae card approved, he could split up the $8000 credit line between the two cards however I wanted. So since I really don't plan on using the NFL Card after I get my $400, I had him reduce that to $3k and put $5k on the Salliemae. Score! Now I just need the card for general spending after I spend the $1k on the NFL card. I suppose I will have to look elsewhere now so the Priceline Visa is out (It's Barclays also). Might go with that Fidelity Visa after all. I'll probably wait a while and let all of these new cards age a bit. We're only talking about a .5% difference over the 1% I get on most other cards anyway.

It's good to know they can move the CL around between accounts, thanks for the info.

Does the Sallie Mae card give 5% back on $250 in gas and $250 in Groceries (meaning if you use it right you can a total of $500) or a total of $250 between the 2 categories?

The 250 limit is on both gas and grocery for 500 total between the two and 750 for bookstores.
