Categories which give bang for the buck
1) Airline tickets- Twice a year two tickets will give me rewards higher than what yearly accumulated fast food gives me.
2) Bill pay
3) Gas
Rest are too many

grocery stores (for gift cards + gas rewards)
online orders

Thats pretty much it. The store i buy groceries at doesn't take CCs (still costs less than the places that do even after reward points), same with the place I buy gas. I do most of my shopping online...so most "catagory" deals don't really do much for me. The worst cat is kohls. Everyone knows that you don't shop at Kohls unless you have a 15-30% off coupon, which they mail out CONSTANTLY...but to use those coupons ya gotta use a Kohls card. If you can get 15-30% off, why in the hell would you want to use your own CC to get 5%?

I'd like to see home improvement stores pop up as a 5% category more often.
