Trumpet's idea about Citi Forward is a good one. I would do that except I really dislike Citi (for a few reasons). And now looking at the US Bank Cash+ catagories again my thoughts are:

Having Amex BCP preferred makes the grocery and gas choices for 2% obviously wrong. I chose 2% at drugstores, but I hardly ever shop at them.

For 5%, bill payment is the obvious first choice for me. Department stores isn't that attractive with BCP offering 3% (and I rarely go to department stores). Ditto all the other categories, except the travel, but right now air and hotel are handled by branded cards for me. I will be renting a car during the first quarter, so I might drop restaurants for that category if I can pick up 5% at restaurants with Chase Freedom.

Someone else on here said they expected the Cash+ rewards program to be downgraded in the future. I would second that. The ONLY charges I make on my card are ones that pay 5%; I suspect a lot of other people do that, too, more-so with this card because of the cafeteria-style selection process.
American Express: Blue Cash Preferred (groceries, 6%; gas, department store, 3%); Gold Delta SkyMiles (Delta Air Lines, 2 miles/dollar, free checked bag).
US Bank: Cash+ (utilities, phone, internet, restaurant, 5%; drugstores, 2%).
FIA Card Services: Fidelity Amex (everything, 2%); Fidelity Visa (everything, 1.5%).
Chase: Freedom (rotating, 5%); Amazon (Amazon.com, 3%); PriorityClub (IHG hotels, 5 points/dollar); Sapphire (not in use).

*All cards are registered with PriorityClub IDine program for 8 points/dollar at participating restaurants.

One of the hidden feature about Citi Forward is that you can get discounted gift card from Truaxis.

I have already bought 9 Sears and 3 JCP GC from Truaxis. $25 GC for $15 means 40% off.
In My Wallet:

BofA BBR (04/2013) | FNBO/Overstock.com (02/2014) | Barclaycard Arrival (04/2014) | FIA/Fidelity AMEX (04/2014)

I will be happy with them still as long as they keep the bill pay option. I have other cards that get me the same or greater on the other categories, except for travel. But, I can just get Marriott or Southwest gift cards. Also, ShopDiscover is easy to use and very generous. I can order most of what I want online.

Jeffysdad, why don't you have a Discover Card?

I do have a Discover IT. I don't use it because I don't really care for Discover. They dropped the ball bad on my IT application, and I was dissatisfied with the experience I had with Discover Savings. Rewards are too hard to redeem with Discover.Discover, no thanks.

I have a Discover Savings. What did they do? I have noticed that my interest rate appears to have decreased.

I noticed my Discover Savings interest had been declining and when they antagonized me by screwing up my IT product change/application, I looked into Amex savings and moved my money over. Once the Discover account was emptied, they closed it immediately with no advance notice. Now, I would have probably closed it myself in a week or two, but for them to just do it with no advance notification was rude.

Log into your Citi account and check account activity under Citi Forward. There you should see Truaxis or something like "Buy XXX gift card for XX".

I didn't see it. Also, clicking around the site will sometimes log me out. I sincerely detest their website. I will keep poking around in there.
