Oh well, onto the Cash+ and PenFed!

I haven't seen a MC/Visa/Amex GC that you can purchase at face value. Perhaps this is regional?

Shaw's grocery stores have Visa and MC gift cards that can be bought for $25, $50, $100, $250, and $500. I believe there is a small fee for each transaction though, so you may loose 1% of the face value if you have a lot of transactions.
Chase Freedom $9k~~Chase Sapphire Preferred $6.5k~~Amex Blue Cash Preferred $12.4k~~Citi Double Cash $4.7k

It's $5.95 per $500 GC. With the BCP that's a net gain of $24.40 per card I buy. Then we just use GC's for everything. So it's like getting just under 5% on everything you buy and all bills.

BCP and Chase Freedom. Now that I just received my BCP I'm thinking of buying gift cards at groceries stores.

With the somewhat recent closure of my Capital One card, now all of my cards give some sort of rewards. It's kind of painful for me to lump my Citi Diamond Preferred in that category, but it does at least give back some kind of rewards, however dismal they may be.

Discover it - $7750 - 11/12

Bank of America Cash Rewards Platinum Plus Visa - $3000 - 06/08
Citi Diamond Preferred Mastercard - $3000 - 05/12
GECRB Old Navy Visa - $2500 - 11/12
Chase Amazon Visa - $2000 - 11/12

Citi Thank You Visa - $1000 - 06/12

Any rewards are better than none. Though I have noticed it seems banks would prefer we not use the rewards cards. Associated jumped my limit on my Platinum Visa (no rewards) WAY up, while giving me a 1k CLI on the Signature with rewards. To me that says they are trying to steer me into using the Platinum so they don't have to pay out rewards.

From what I've seen, the Cash + is an excellent rewards card. I use it for Bill Pay, that 5% is great on that. It's not the best gas or groceries card honestly, you may well want something else for those categories. But it's a fantastic fill in card that I've been using as my main card for months now.

That will change for a bit as I run everything through the Discover More for a bit to get that over 5k, hopefully in 6 months time.

I use my CSP for 2X dining and my PRG for 2X gas and groceries. The only cards I carry are my CSP, PRG, Blue for backup, and debit card in case I need cash for some reason. Travel, shopping, and bar tabs get put on either CSP or PRG, just depends on what I feel like using.
