Chase Amazon Rewards cash redemption

Postby jeffysdad » Wed Oct 03, 2012 9:14 pm

I just realized that you can now redeem Amazon Rewards cashback online and have it deposited directly into your Chase checking account. This is just like the setup to redeem Freedom or Sapphire rewards for cash deposit into Chase checking.

It used to be that you would have to wait until you had $50 in cashback to redeem Amazon Rewards for a check that would be mailed to you. I was hoping they would streamline the process, and they did. Now the minimum to redeem is $20, just like Freedom and Sapphire.

DK when it happened because I had been sitting around waiting until I had another $50 in rewards balance before checking the site for redemption.
American Express: Blue Cash Preferred (groceries, 6%; gas, department store, 3%); Gold Delta SkyMiles (Delta Air Lines, 2 miles/dollar, free checked bag).
US Bank: Cash+ (utilities, phone, internet, restaurant, 5%; drugstores, 2%).
FIA Card Services: Fidelity Amex (everything, 2%); Fidelity Visa (everything, 1.5%).
Chase: Freedom (rotating, 5%); Amazon (Amazon.com, 3%); PriorityClub (IHG hotels, 5 points/dollar); Sapphire (not in use).

*All cards are registered with PriorityClub IDine program for 8 points/dollar at participating restaurants.

Do you have any way of figuring out about when this change went in?

Great catch by the way.

No, but I think it was relatively recent. It makes sense for them to do it this way; the interface is very similar to the one for Freedom and Sapphire/Universal Rewards. I like it.
