Or have your billers charge your card by giving them your card number.

Craigm, have you gotten any credits yet for your EZPass; in other words, is it paying 5% back? I haven't set up my EZTag account for Cash+ yet because it didn't seem to me like it would qualify for the 5% bill category.

FIA Card Services: Fidelity Amex (everything, 2%); Fidelity Visa (everything, 1.5%).
Chase: Freedom (rotating, 5%); Amazon (Amazon.com, 3%); PriorityClub (IHG hotels, 5 points/dollar); Sapphire (not in use).

*All cards are registered with PriorityClub IDine program for 8 points/dollar at participating restaurants.

no 5% for ezpass or the gym membership but I used to have it all go to the amex and the base is the same 1% so i figured for ease of you it made sense to have them all go to one card.

Thanks. In the spirit of greed I'll leave my EZTag with Fidelity Amex and earning 2%.

I contacted US Bank about this and got a nice reply:

"The 5% cash back applies to all payments, automatic or manual and they do not have to be done through our website. The companies themselves choose the categories through their merchant services, but some examples are Comcast, DIRECTV, AT&T and State Farm insurance. Hope this helps and please let me know if you have any further questions."

I use it for:

Progressive Auto Insurance
Progressive Renter's Insurance
Hulu Plus
Gas
Electric
Verizon Wireless
Time Warner Cable

Basically as long as you charge any of your bills to you credit card number it will work. :)
AMEX: Blue Cash Preferred (6% on groceries, 3% gas & dept stores)
Capital One: Venture (2 points per $1, equivalent to 2%)
Chase: Freedom (rotating 5% categories), Disney Rewards (1 point per $1, Disney benefits)
US Bank: Cash+ (5% bookstores / 5% Electronic Stores)

I thought it had to be a monthly deduction. I just paid $500 bucks for my insurance for 6 months. At least I used my Discover card and got 2% during my birthday month.

My understanding is that the frequency of the payment doesn't matter. In October I'm planning to pay my biannual auto insurance bill with Cash+ and will also be paying my upcoming annual renters insurance with same.
