It's weird, I have called that number maybe 3 or 4 times in the last week and get the message "I'm sorry I am unable to locate your application." Then it automatically attempts to transfer my call to a person. I hung up only because every time I have called I have been kind of busy or at work (I work in a hospital emergency room, so there's not much down time). I'll try again in the morning (or Monday morning if they're not there), and go through to the underwriting services dept prepared for the worst (recon).

I would really love to get this card, and then cease any new applications till Nov or Dec. I got denied maybe a month ago for the Barclaycard Ring, solely due to too many TransUnion inquiries/new accounts (ultimately my recon was denied for the same), so I told myself that was it for that period. But who knew the Cash+ and its amazing reward structure would come around? It would be great to get 5% on utilities and the odd convenience store purchase, where I would normally use Discover or Fidelity Amex for 2% and Citi Forward for my cell since it provides free insurance.

Do I absolutely need the card? Definitely not. Do I want it? Hell yes!
I will certainly post back about the end result after I call again. Thanks.

Anyone else wanna share who they pulled?

I don't know from whom or if they pulled a cr on me. I assume they did.
American Express: Blue Cash Preferred (groceries, 6%; gas, department store, 3%); Gold Delta SkyMiles (Delta Air Lines, 2 miles/dollar, free checked bag).
US Bank: Cash+ (utilities, phone, internet, restaurant, 5%; drugstores, 2%).
FIA Card Services: Fidelity Amex (everything, 2%); Fidelity Visa (everything, 1.5%).
Chase: Freedom (rotating, 5%); Amazon (Amazon.com, 3%); PriorityClub (IHG hotels, 5 points/dollar); Sapphire (not in use).

*All cards are registered with PriorityClub IDine program for 8 points/dollar at participating restaurants.

Well I got the letter today from US Bank. It says "we regret to inform you that we are unable to consider your application at this time becasue another recent application is being processed." Huh?? This is the only app for US bank that i've ever tried.

Called the number MemberSince99 provided, and spoke with someone from underwriting services. She said I was already approved for the card, and my browser must have glitched and sent the application twice. So the first one got approved and the second one triggered an auto denial. I guess this shows what would happen if someone ever attempted to apply for two US Bank cards at one time, something that can be done with others like Chase or Citi.

I'm guessing my card is not a Visa Signature because the rep said my limit was $3000. This is fine by me, my current card limits range from a low of $1000 to a high of $6000, so its middle of the road.

Congratulations on getting approved. I'm guessing you got the "Flexperks" rewards card then. It's a straight 1% rewards card from what I read.

I called the number this morning to check status and it said "Congratulations you are approved...." but I have no idea for what card, I'll have to call and talk with an analyst and find out which is is. I really want the Cash + card so I'll report back when I learn more.

Thanks! Congrats on your approval also and cross your fingers for the Cash+.

Ugh I just did some research and you're proably right, it will most likely be the FlexPerks. Worse yet, there are two versions of that-- a Signature that is black in color and a non-Signature that is silver in color. The non-Signature gives 1 point per $2 spent. Really, 0.5%? If that's the case, I'm going to try and recon for the Cash+ when it arrives. If they won't go for that, maybe they'll let me change to AeroMexico (non-sig version) instead. Or at least let me apply for that instead without another hard pull. Unlikely but can't hurt to try. I wouldn't mind getting points toward flights to Central America.

If it is the FlexPerks and they won't budge on the recon or change or something, I'll just politely tell them to piss up a rope and not activate the card. I don't really care about the inquiry, but a lackluster filler card like that isn't worth lowering my AAoA.

Thank you also. Hopefully you can recon for the Cash +. Nothing at all to lose by trying.

I called them up and was able to get transferred to underwriting where they told me it was the Cash + I got approved for. Limit is 12k. That's my highest ever.

Since there's no sign-up bonus, apparently, for this card, there's no advantage to applying online. I phoned in my app. and specifically told them that if I was not approved for Cash+ that I did not want any other card, and the rep agreed. This might be a wise thing for others to do if they apply for the card.

Great suggestion jeffysdad. I think this card is good enough that you don't really need a sign up bonus. This is one I'm pretty pumped about getting.
