US Bank gave me Cash Reward with $4K CL instead. I really want Cash+ instead.

That is correct, but if you're that close to the $5k mark I would try and recon to see if they'll bump you up that extra 1000 so you can get the Cash +.

EDIT: and FB you might want to call them if you haven't already because they might need to verify done information before they can finalize your decision. That's what they did with me and they try to contact you by mail which obviously takes forever.

I called them and they stated that they were waiting on some information to be verified in the system. They didn't ask me for any infomration at all. I'm not sure what is going on...

I got the sucky Cash Rewards visa instead, 3k limit, and was told they would sent out an invite in 6 months for the cash+. Called to recon but they wouldn't budge. Mine took a longer time to get the approval but it's because a glitch caused the app to be submitted twice so they approved one and denied the other. I activated the card and have been showing some use only cause I'm hoping they are good for their word and will allow an upgrade after 6 months. Worst case scenario, if they don't, i have another no annual fee card sitting there accruing account age so eventually my credit profile will be stronger and less susceptible to decline once all my newer accounts mature, if I decide to dump one of them.

My account cycled the other day and the statement generated showed my rewards categories properly selected and my reward amounts properly credited. On the few occasions I've called US Bank related to this account (to open it and two or thee times with questions), I've gotten a native English speaker in a U.S. call center who quickly dealt with whatever the issue was. Aside from some minor quibbles about the US Bank website (see above) and the fact that the Cash+ card is not the nicest looking card I have, I am very pleased with this card, its rewards program and the performance of US Bank.
American Express: Blue Cash Preferred (groceries, 6%; gas, department store, 3%); Gold Delta SkyMiles (Delta Air Lines, 2 miles/dollar, free checked bag).
US Bank: Cash+ (utilities, phone, internet, restaurant, 5%; drugstores, 2%).
FIA Card Services: Fidelity Amex (everything, 2%); Fidelity Visa (everything, 1.5%).
Chase: Freedom (rotating, 5%); Amazon (Amazon.com, 3%); PriorityClub (IHG hotels, 5 points/dollar); Sapphire (not in use).

*All cards are registered with PriorityClub IDine program for 8 points/dollar at participating restaurants.

First off great information here on this forum.

I recently received a pre-selected application to apply for this card and just received my card yesterday (exactly 7 day turn around). For the last year I have received there platinum card application and after reading on this forum, I choose not to apply. I did call and they said they could offer me the flex point rewards one, but again, it did not seem like a great offer vs. what is out there.

I was approved for 18,5K.

I do have a mortgage with US Bank and it did state that I was pre-selected based on this relationship (about year and half).

Only two inquires in the last 24 months, mortgage and personal loan and only two credit cards in my name.

I did some research last night and I think the cash back benefits are great. I also spent some time on the visa signature website and really the travel part of it seemed to be the biggest benefit.

I just wanted to give some feedback to those who may have received the letter and what to expect and others out there looking at this card. I am stingy when it comes to applying for credit so I really look at the best deals out there.

I can't say for sure yet, FB, because I'm waiting to accumulate $100 before I redeem in order to get the $25 gift card bonus. I think the cb is a credit to the account and the gift card is just mailed after you make a few clicks on the website.

Well I just had a strange turn of events.

As previously mentioned, I got stuck with the Cash Rewards card instead of the Cash+. I fought like crazy to get it upgraded and all I heard was a bunch of "no"s.

However, guess what I found in this weekend's mail? A Cash+ card! What the what? I had no idea it was coming. It has the same number as my Cash Rewards, so it's definitely an upgrade.

But here's what's really, really weird. I got stuck with the same crappy APR (23.99%) and the same crappy limit ($1500). It does say Visa Signature on it, which I thought had to be $5,000, right? Anyway - I can't complain too because I finally have the card. It will probably be maxed out most of the time and definitely paid off every month!

I've only been using the Cash Rewards for about two weeks, so not sure how this happened either.

Has anyone else had a similar experience?
AMEX: Blue Cash Preferred (6% on groceries, 3% gas & dept stores)
Capital One: Venture (2 points per $1, equivalent to 2%)
Chase: Freedom (rotating 5% categories), Disney Rewards (1 point per $1, Disney benefits)
US Bank: Cash+ (5% bookstores / 5% Electronic Stores)
