I'm new to this forum... but something has happened that I could really use all of your advice on.
I'm a points gamer... I love figuring out what cards give me the best points and racking them up. Over the years, I've built up over 80,000 using 4 different Citi cards.
About 2 months ago, my cards stopped working, and I got letters saying that all of my cards had been cancelled due to "suspicious activity regarding Authorized Users". I've had lots of Authorized users coming in and out, yea... but they never warned me of it.
Ok, so they cancelled my cards, including the one with the longest credit history... which sucks. But worst of all, when the bank initiates a cancellation, they take back all of their ThankYou points... CRUD!!
I tried talking to reps, and the credit warning risk people... nothing. They told me to write a letter to the Early Credit Risk - Presidential Complaints, which I did... a month later, I got a form feed letter saying, basically, "Thanks for your input". Not exactly what I was expecting. Not a single word relating specifically to my case.
Is there any type of Consumer Advocacy group?... or is there anyone that knows something that's worked in the past? Any ideas from anyone?...
