Which places qualify for the "green pack" on Zync?

Postby PopiLopi » Sun Apr 29, 2012 12:09 pm

I have the Amex Zync and was wondering which places give 2x points on the green pack. It says to check on greenopia.com/amex but I feel the list is not updated.

So far I've been able to get 2x points on Chipotle, Whole Foods, Walmart and Ikea... Does anybody know of other major merchants that will apply?
Amex: Business Platinum (09/12) BCP $10,500 (03/13)
Visa: Capital One Journey $750 (04/11) Chase Freedom $1,800 (04/12)
MasterCard Citi AAdvantage Platinum Select $8,500 (05/13)
Discover: Discover It $2500 (07/11)
Store Cards: Amazon $3900 (12/11) Macy's $500 (04/11) Kohl's $500 (05/12) Victoria's Secret $750 (11/12)

Off the top of my head...Sprouts does, and I could've sworn Cost Plus World Market did, but they're not really a green place to shop in my opinion.

Walmart and IKEA though? That's pretty cool- I do quite a bit of shopping there.
Currently: American Express Blue Sky, American Express Zync, Chase Freedom Visa, Capital One Newcomers--->converted to Capital One Quicksilver Mastercard NO AF

Sprouts is nowhere near Miami, FL, but Ikea actually have a 4 out of 4 rating in greenopia, so it's pretty green. I just don't know how Walmart made it... Also heard McDonald's qualify, but I have to try that...

In order to get the bonus points, the merchant needs to be listed on this site ZYNC Presents Greenopia once you are there, you can search and find the closest merchants to you. Chipotle and Whole Foods are the best for me. If the link doesn't work, once you are logged in to American Express, go tot he ZYNC Center and then under Eco Pack.
American Express: Platinum, Zync, Platinum Delta SkyMiles, Blue, Starwood Preferred Guest
Barclaycard US: iTunes Reward Visa, US Airways Premier World MasterCard
Chase: Sapphire Preferred Visa Signature, Freedom Visa
Citi Bank: Hilton HHonors Visa Signature, AAdvantage Platinum Select World Elite MasterCard
Bank of America Virgin Atlantic World Elite MasterCard
Discover: Discover it
Other:Macy's Star Rewards, Target REDCard

That list from Greenopia is not updated, it only shows some places, and when I called Amex to ask they just have generic examples, the CSR's don't know exactly which places are considered green. I guess I'll figure it out with my usage

Visa: Capital One Journey $750 (04/11) Chase Freedom $1,800 (04/12)
