Amex doesn't waive fees. Would you ask your country club to waive their fee? It's a membership fee and should be treated as such! A small price to pay to be a member in the Amex club. I have been a member and paid the fees since 1971. I look forward to the membership fee bill each year. That way i know i'm still accepted into the club.
