$300 cash back after the first purchase

Postby FutureBillionaire » Wed Mar 21, 2012 8:40 pm

I just received an offer from Chase Freedom for $300 cash back after the first purchase, 0% interest on purchases and transfers until April 2013, and 14.99% interest after that. I wasn't going to get this card because I had my eyes set on the Blue Cash Preferred. This is pretty tempting though.

I probably wouldn't say no to that (though alas I already have that particular card).

They'll probably tack on a 3% BT fee which could gobble up the $300 bonus if you were to take out $10k, but there's still some interest free cash on the table.

I'm looking at the Blue Cash Preferred too but I already get a percentage back on groceries, not sure if it would be worth the extra percentage bonus on groceries for the annual fee. You have to do the math on what you spend and see if it will work for you.

I shop at Kroger all the time. Plus, I can buy gift cards there to other places that I shop at. It will definitely be worth the reward to me.

I'm thinking hard about the Chase Freedom. I'm going to refinance my house soon, so I will probably wait.

It's a great offer. Had the same one about 6 months back and couldn't say no. Bonus showed up extremely quickly.

I got the same offer, 30,000 points after first purchase.

I'd go for it. It's a nice card with the 5% rotating categories and the 10 and 10 bonus (if you also have a Chase Checking account)
