Looking for advice, new card time.

Postby YankeeFan » Thu Mar 01, 2012 11:06 am

28 years old
Credit score: 790
Percent of on time payments: 100%
Average Age of Open Credit Lines: 4 Yrs 0 Mos
No hard inquiries, no derogatory marks.
No student loans

I consider my credit to be very important, so I've looked out for it for a long time now.

I've had a couple mediocre cards that offer me no rewards or cash back.

I'm looking for a new card, we are booking our honeymoon so $4000 or so will go on it. (I will pay it off in a month). Figure now would be a good time to go shopping for a new one.

I do not leave balances on my cards. I figure a card with cashback or some sort of rewards makes sense.

What are your thoughts?

Thanks everyone.

so hello Yankees fan, I'm too a fan. First of all do you live in the suburbs or city?

Do you travel on business or are you planning on getting a card for personal use? What you had was a lower level card.

Do you have any cards right now if so which ones? if related to a store are they charge cards meaning you can only use them in the store? or are they credit cards which have a Visa, Mastercard or American Express logo?
