Postby FutureBillionaire » Thu Feb 23, 2012 11:49 am

I received an invite to apply for the Chase Sapphire Preferred. I was tempted, but decided not to. Does anyone in here have any experience with that card?

Future do you travel on business or do you just want an executive card? If you travel and the 95.00 doesn't bother you then go ahead.

if you want an executive card but you don't travel, you just want a card for shopping at the mall, gas stations, movies I would recommend this card.

Majority of my spending is on travel and restaurants. This card covers every bit of travel and dining, includes public transportation and fast-food. I recommend it. And aesthetically is one of the best cards I have. makes me dislike plastic.

Ashley I only recommend it if he/she travels on business. If Future works in an office or a warehouse and only travels 1 time a year he/she doesn't need the card, save the annual fee and just get the basic Sapphire which has dining and gas.

Booking airline tickets, car rentals, hotels isn't for Future if his job isn't travel related. If all they do is use the credit card for movies, gas stations, car repairs, clothing stores, department stores and grocery stores, the Sapphire Preferred isn't the right choice.

The first year is OK because the fee is waived but after the year is over it's time for future to get the basic Sapphire.

I actually only have one travel card, the discover miles. I have the amex gold, but it only has limited travel perks. Most of my cards get me points on gas and restaurants. I will consider it in the future. They sent e a Chase Freedom app that I also declined to apply for.
