Card perks - Who's best?

Postby AnthonyBarone » Sat Aug 02, 2008 12:28 pm

I saw the post in the American Express forum about them giving a $75 credit at hotels. What cards out there are the best for free perks like this, is it Amex? I like cards that give out freebies like this because I'm not a big spender so I'm usually don't spend enough money on my credit cards to make the rewards significant. However things like that I like because it doesn't matter how much you spend you still get a perk.

The American Express Gold Card gets my review for the one with the most perks. They offer a lot of free perks in addition to the points you earn. I love the traveling/hotel/airline freebies they give. Yes, it has an annual fee, but sometimes they offer special promos where you can signup and avoid the annual fee for the first year - so it's free.

As far as the type of perks you are talking about I would have to say American Express. For some reason other cards don't tend to take rewards as seriously as they do.
