I think I read Ritz and United...that change is fairly recent, and I've not looked too closely. Definitely do your own research there.

That's no Bueno. I don't blame them too much honestly. But that doesn't mean I like it.

I'm still not clear on whether or not this rule applies to all accounts or credit card accounts only or???

Not that you'll have a 100% answer, but....

That would mean an installment loan for a car would not count correct? Also, I (somehow) have an electricity account that reports as some sort of unknown account...

Correct.

Also new AU revolving credit counts as well.

I did get by the 5/24 rule in a roundabout way through my private banker and closing another CL in exchange for an approval.

Are you sure that counted as closing one account and opening another? Not a product change? Did you still get the welcome bonus?

Had to hard close my Marriott card in order to get approved for the Freedom Unlimited. I indeed got the bonus.
