Yeah I'm thinking I'll charge myself the gift card plus some food so it doesn't look weird. Maybe split the gift cards into $50 increments so it looks like I'm giving these cards to people. And I'll keep the receipt for awhile. My goal is to put $250 on this card each month for the next 3 months. So this month I'll do gift cards from work. Next month, buy some stuff from Amazon, and the following month a Steam gift card or something.
Kohls: $300, Discover IT: $1.8k, Capital One Quicksilver: $2k, Amazon Store Card: $2.2k, Chase Freedom Unlimited: 3.2k, AMEX HHonors 5k

Maybe you can use the card for a few purchases a (very solvent and very reliable) relative would be making anyway, then have the relative reimburse you with cash?
Very useful: SchwabPlat, CSP, IHG, Costco (was AA Plat), Freedom, SPG, Prestige (retention)
Somewhat useful: Discover, ED (was EDP), BCE, Hyatt
SD with activity alerts, might close: Arrival

Might add: Proper business card, CSR, Ritz, Delta Gold, First Tech, BofA Travel PH, Aviator Red

Yeah I've been considering that idea as well. I've got most of this months spending completed already, really doesn't take very long. For the next $250 I've got some textbooks I'll need to rent probably and a game or two to pick up for my birthday and stuff on Amazon to get. I should be good for a bit.
