Best card for Ticketmaster?

Postby CarefulBuilder14 » Wed Jul 29, 2015 12:06 pm

I'll be making a transaction for a small group on Ticketmaster within 48 hours. The seats are available to the general public, so ticket access is not a concern. I checked on Amex to see if there was preferred seating, but there is none. My focus is on rewards/savings/perks (I can't think of what any perks would be).

I'm not generally interested in getting any new cards, and a new one couldn't arrive in time, anyway.

I might go with EDP. Can anyone think of anything better (that I have available) as far as offers/bonus categories/portals? I know Citi has some cards with an entertainment category, but that's not an option for me.

I can do EDP + Amex Checkout on Ticketmaster for another $10. I'm not bold enough to do multiple transactions and risk getting some - but not all - of the seats together.

When I read your title, this was my first thought, using Amex checkout. Can't think of any other card that'll give more in rewards unless your spending will be really high

That's what I did. It was about $800 total. One transaction.

I also used coupon codes and Hotel Tonight to get a $145 (after all taxes) room near Times Square! :D An efficient use of most of my Arrival "miles", too.

I did consider IHG properties, but the cash prices weren't as good, and the IHG point prices weren't great, either.
