Not to 'Frankenstein' an old thread, but I wonder what level of spending it would take to make both rewards programs worth it between the Freedom/CSP combo and, say, the EDP/PRG combo? I don't meet the spending level NOW, but I anticipate doing so in the future.
Current Cards: Chase Freedom, Discover IT
Future: TBD

It's not just a question of how much you're spending overall, but also a question of where you're spending and how well you utilize card rewards and benefits. When you're earning 4.5 MRs or 5.5 (for now) URs on even just a few thousand dollars (and transfer them well), then paying $190 in AFs may make sense.

I have all four cards, and PRG is the only one on the fence for closure. If the airfare credit hadn't been added, I might have already closed it (importantly, I got AAA a few months ago so don't need PRG's roadside assistance). I'm just keeping it for now, since I've gotten good offers and haven't yet had to specify my choice of airline for the $100 credit.

I've said before that I could PC PRG to Platinum if I flew more, but realistically I'd probably apply for Platinum as a new account for a great bonus.

This. Part of the question is answered by running the numbers for one's spend but another big part of the question is also answered by looking at the rewards programs and seeing if one can leverage the redemption options to make the most of each point. No amount of spend would make MR worth it to me.

As with any other matter, worth is highly subjective. Plenty find MR to be worthwhile.
