One time extra cash back on purchase?

Postby itsmeandrew » Tue Apr 14, 2015 2:53 pm

Has anyone ever heard of a credit card company granting a one time "bonus" cash back on a purchase? For example, if I were going to make a purchase for a larger amount, is there a chance a company would give me say, 1.5% cash back instead of the regular 1% if I called and asked for it?

I've experienced this with Discover, and heard of it with Barclaycard Sallie Mae as well as Citi AA cards.

Rewards/Offers: Discover, Freedom, ED, BCE
Taxes/Misc: SPG

Limited value, might close: Arrival

Might add: First Tech, proper business card, Delta Gold, Aviator Red, BofA Travel
