Recurring payment vs. swiping

Postby Twisted Innovator » Sun Mar 22, 2015 12:48 pm

I'm going to have a recurring payment for various stuff and the companies are not charging me a fee to use my credit card. Will I still get the rewards from doing a recurring payment with my credit card....or do I have to swipe my card?

Rewards are based on merchant code and dollar amout; how the charge originates, does not matter.
AMEX Green Card - NPSL [Member Since 1995]
AMEX Everyday Card ($25,000)
Chase Visa Signature ($17,000)
Citi Visa Signature ($16,000)
Discover IT ($17,500)
Sam's Club MasterCard - ($20,000)
Wells Fargo Personal Line of Credit - ($15,000)

FICO's - 803 EX, 805 EQ, 799 TU [01/2017]

I have all my recurring bills paid by a Capital One card that gives 1% back on everything. So, as long as the rewards are not tied to any particular type of spending (i.e. groceries, gas, restaurants) you should be golden.
AmEx - Platinum (NPSL) , Blue Cash Preferred ($19,000), Gold Delta Skymiles ($8,500)
Chase - Sapphire Preferred ($14,000), Disney ($11,500), Amazon.com ($9,000), Freedom ($8,000)
CapOne - QuickSilver ($7,250) / Platinum Rewards ($7,250)
