NYC Restaurant Week

Postby CarefulBuilder14 » Fri Feb 27, 2015 4:22 pm

I was too late to get the Amex offer of a $5 credit when spending $25. Amex isn't allowing new cards to participate. Does anyone know of another way to get a similar credit? My CSP can use some spending to get the big bonus, if nothing else.

Was anyone here able to sign up for this? It wasn't in my regular list of offers - I only saw it in an email from them after the 'week' (it was actually a few weeks) had begun. I tried to sign up for it a few hours after getting the email but it wasn't available anymore. That strongly suggests to me that Amex presented it to other, more profitable customers first. The PRG, overall, still does make sense for me...but it kind of irks me that participation in such a useful offer (for people in the area at the time) would be capped even for $175/$195 AF cards.

I ended up using CSP. Once the Costco/Amex contract ends in early 2016 and I can earn URs at Costco, PRG will be moving a bit closer to the chopping block.
