Make sure you are getting those "bonus" points!

Postby dragon452 » Fri May 30, 2014 8:25 pm

Just a reminder to Chase "Freedom" card holders: when you get your statement, check and calculate the number of 5% quarterly points you are due from the current categories. I've been using the card at "restaurants" this quarter, but when I added up the points I SHOULD HAVE earned at 5%...the total was noticeably short of the figure I calculated. A call to customer service confirmed that a purchase at a well known area restaurant (definitely a restaurant), was counted at the usual 1% rate instead of 5%. The discrepancy was immediately fixed by the agent, but the point is: if you don't check your statement, you may lose out on the quarterly bonus points. Thank you!

Not the first time I've heard of this being an issue.
