    Default The Madoff Scam!

I find this thing absolutely unbelievable! There is less than 300 million of the 50 billion stolen! That is less than 1% of the money! This is even bigger than all the money requested for the auto bailout combined. How did such a scam on a massive scale go on for years and years undetected?

This is very scary when I think about it and it makes me worry there's other huge ponzi schemes out there about to collapse too.

Something is fishy with the whole thing I think. How on earth could this scoundrel be the only one in on the con. Then the sons turn him on in and take the title of good samaritans. This sounds like a bunch of bologna to me. What I think is he decided to take the blame so his sons could get off scott free. You know they all must be in on this swindle.

It makes one wonder how truly safe any investment is if the SEC could be, in their own words, "asleep at the wheel" during Madoff's scheme.

Spielberg, Kevin Bacon, and quite a few celeb names have surfaced lately as victims in the Madoff scam. The writer of the Benjamin Button movie, Forrest Gump and others pleasded to the press that he "lost everything" from the Madoff scam and is left with nothing. Being a hitmaker like that though I'm sure he will be just fine.
