Default In times like these be thankful for Wal-Mart.

I've visited Credit Card Forum more than once but never posted on it until now. I can't help but notice all of this anti-Wal-Mart rhetoric that members are spewing all over forum. You need to be thankful for the blessing of having Wal-Mart in this country. They give you a better way of life for less money. If you don't like it then don't shop there but by the looks of it 99% of Americans love Wal-Mart because they do shop there. Having this great American store be a part of our lives is like having a massive tax break because our dollar goes further here. Sales are up 10% this year for us and that is why. Everyone loves Wal-Mart it is only you whiners that having nothing better to do than make a scapegoat out of America's greatest company -Wal-Mart.

I really hope that this is only a sarcastic remark. THis "greatest company" just had someone killed.

You say for "us" Topper. Does that imply you are employed by Wal-Mart?

This is not about providing cheaper goods for the consumer. Prices would be merely a penny or two more and that would provide fair pay and benefits for their store employees. The extreme corners Wal-Mart is cutting is not being passed on to the customers. Take a look at their stock price and executive compensation and you will see who is ultimately benefiting.

i'm really not a fan of walmart. their prices are not cheaper than other places either when you really do the math. target is the same price. CVS is the same price too if you use their $5 off $25 purchase coupons (which they give out in unlimited supply) really at the end of the day there's nothing about walmart that is helpful. i would rather give me money to other stores that aren't milking the system.
