About LinkBacksBush is keeping quiet on the economy and Obama is doing the same. I understand that Obama is only President-Elect for now but he can still speak up and do some more of those faux-presidential press conferences to reassure and guide us in this economy.
Imagine if during 9/11 our leaders kept quiet. You know that would never happen. This is more serious than that even. This effects everyone and we are suffering casualties because suicides have skyrocketed due to the economy.

That market rally on Friday was just a fluke - had nothing to do with Obama announcing appointments.

I'm so sick of hearing Bush/Obama talk. We got our man on the way to the Whitehouse and we are still complaining. Can't everyone in this country now shut up already and stop arguing over politics at least until next year after Obama takes office? Until then nothing new will happen anyway because Bush is taking the rest of his time and using it like a vacation.

Agreed. This same type of behavior was seen leading up to the Great Depression; erratic stock market activity in both directions. In no logical market would the entire indexes fluctuate 10% or more from one week to the next. The market is seriously unhealthy and this is perhaps the greatest evidence of such.
