I don't know if all that will happen (but I wish it would ) I would bet money that Tony will go bye-bye by fall.

BP is the #1 supplier of fuel to the military. We need them. I think they will get off easy because of that...

BP will not be bought out, not go bankrupt, not being nationalized, not barred from future US grillings or anything else in list above except one thing and this is going to recover. I would love to see Tony getting fired because he simply is a douche but due to the success of the company under his management I doubt it. BTW I hope for the affected people that BP remains a strong, powerful and successful business so they can sue the hell out of this place.

All the claims will cost tens of billions but at the end of the day BP will get by. A buyout/hostile takover looks unlikely now that their stock price has recovered. If it nose dives again and the situation gets worse it's still a possibility but not likely. Hayward will have to step down within the next 12 months because his reputation is shot in this country.

With the fitted cap in place and a permanent plugging on the way things appear to be looking up for BP. The company will suffer lower earnings as it pays out claims but for the most part will surface unscathed.
