    Question Dow manipulation fraudulent?

According to Bloomberg the almost 1,000 point fluctuation seen today was the largest one-day point loss in a single day. As we know it recovered to being "only" down around 350, but still, how can an error really cause that? They blame a typo on a Proctor and Gamble order, but that doesn't explain the 8 stocks that went to one penny or zero.

What do you think... glitch or was there extremely sophisticated hacking/manipulation going on?

It was NYSE technology error. They canceled all trades made between 2:40pm to 3:00pm. It was obviously No hacking or manipulation because there were only 12,000 shares of Procter and Gamble traded during that time.

My portfolio lost $1000 on that day

What I find particularly odd is that we have heard nothing regarding this matter since the day it occurred. Surely this story warranted followup coverage.
