Default MONEY magazine wants your credit card stories

Hi folks,

I'm a reporter with Money magazine, and I'm looking for people to share their credit card horror stories in a feature story I'm working on. I'm especially looking for good, responsible users who have recently:

Had a credit line significantly cut (especially for no reason)
Had an interest rate hike (especially for no reason)
Had a bad experience with rewards being slashed, limited, etc.
Suffered other credit card horror stories

Stories can be brief--I just need to know what happened, who the issuer was, etc. This is definitely not a big time commitment. I am on a tight deadline, so please email me your story at ismat_mangla@moneymail.com as soon as possible.

Thank you!

Default Wall Street Journal had good sources in their story...

earlier this week. People are burning their credit cards, etc. and posting videos of it on YouTube, WSJ says.

Look, I've been a journalist for 20 years, so I know what it's like. But the story you're chasing and especially the angle is STALE.

Thanks...You'll find that the overall angle of the story is different from the usual fare, but I need a few anecdotes of this nature as a last-minute add.

Simple. Just put a post saying "ATTENTION ADVANTA CARDHOLDERS" and all of them will have the type of horror stories you are looking for.

Did you ever find anyone? I could give a couple good stories for sure.

I was a subscriber to Money Magazine.

I used PayPal to pay for the subscription and somehow Money Magazine found a way to auto bill PayPal for subscription renewal.

After I found out this had happened I removed Money Magazine from PayPal and cancelled the subscription.

Now 3+ months have passed and Money Magazine has yet to refund my subscription. Every communication with MM brings a different answer? The payment was denied by your bank – no it wasn’t! The payment was refunded to my credit card, but
MM doesn’t have my credit card, no it wasn’t.

As a reporter, you can imagine the frustration I feel dealing with your employer.

Money Magazine has created a terrorist over less than $20.

Just so you can do your research into this matter the subscription was in the name of Ed Dennis and the account number was 1638 4383 070.

Are you a reporter with the guts to expose your own company’s problems. Did you realize that Money Magazine was involved in credit card fraud.

If you would like to see a copy of all the emails, drop me a line and I will forward them to you.

Thanks for your time

Ed Dennis
