Rewards for Restaurants/Entertainment

Postby lexrj » Thu Jan 24, 2013 3:00 pm

I spend about $800/mo on restaurants/entertainment (rest. mostly) and I've been using my BCP but it only gives me 1% on that category. Is there anything else better (besides US Bank Cash +) for that category?
I don't mind if it's cash back, rewards or miles as long as it's better than 1%. I also won't be spending much more than $800/mo so if it has a high AF it probably wont be worth it.

1st quarter Discover IT, or 2nd quarter Chase Freedom. Citi Forward for year round (don't use TY points for cash back though, use it for certain gift cards, loan payments, or travel through Citi's website).
AMEX BCE ($20,000), Citi Forward ($4,800), Discover IT ($3,750), BoA Travel Rewards ($1,800)

Are Citi Thank You points as good as, say, Chase Ultimate Rewards points?

Most people will say no. TY points are only worth 1:1 if you redeem it for [certain] gift cards, student or mortgage loan payments, or travel through Citi's website.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I found this table from Nerdwallet and it doesn't look like I can get more than 1% back on anything, anyone wants to enlight me on why this card is any good on their rewards?
