Default Easy to get credit cards

Ok I need to know what are easy to get credit cards if you don't have outright bad credit but you don't have the best either. I thought what better place to post this then a credit card message board, right? I want it to be Visa or Mastercard because I need to be able to use it everywhere. I also want it to be able to have a high spending limit if needed. Maybe $3000 or more because sometimes if there's a big purchase I need to make I want to be able to put it all on one card and not have to split it among cards. Let me know what ones out there would be best for this.

For starters what is credit you don't consider "outright bad" because right now the banks are acting like anything remotely bad is the same as a bankruptcy.

I know there are some free prepaid credit cards out there but I don't know much about that category of cards.....

Without knowing what is on your credit report, such as History average, utilization, number of accounts, account types or credit history, it is hard to see if you would even be approved for anything. The better your credit, the more chances you could be approved for a high limit credit card right?

But if I had to guess, I would say to check with Pulaski bank if you have decent credit and plenty of employment history.

If you have 0 derogatory items, I'd say check with a credit union. (I say 0 derogatory items just to be safe.)

Oh, and Hooters MasterCard. They actually specialize in granting credit to people with less than perfect credit. I saw that someone on another message board that I frequent has a hooters card with an $8,000 credit limit!

In order to pull off getting a credit limit of a few thousand dollars, a possible lender may look at your income, credit limits on your current card(s) and utilization.

Also I'm pretty sure that some companies like to issue credit cards with limits in the thousands to college kids hoping that the student will default and pay much interest.

Pulaski bank credit cards are hard to get now. they require every new customer to fax pay stubs to verify income and sign permission for Pulaski to do a tax pull to see how much income you made for the latest year. not cool.
