About LinkBacksHi, according to the letter I got from my credit card company, I'm able to limit their sharing of my information in three categories:
1) For our affiliates' everyday business purposes - information about your creditworthiness
2) For our affiliates to market to you
3) For nonaffiliates to market to you
The other four categories (such as reporting to credit bureaus, etc) I'm unable to limit sharing for.
If I choose to limit sharing for all three categories listed above, will I still receive credit card preapproval offers in the mail?

You will continue to receive offers from banks who already have a relationship with you who want to offer you additional cards. I have a security freeze on all 3 agencies, but I still get offers from Citi, Chase, and AmEx for new cards all the time.
You are better off NOT receiving all these offers as this is how identity theft usually starts. Don't be tempted by cc offers that come in the mail. Wait until you actually NEED credit before you accept/apply.Cards Used:
