Pier One credit card from Chase helped me get the Freedom
Hey guys I just learned last night that I got approved for a Chase Freedom card with a $3,000 limit.
I'm happy because this is the first credit card that I've had since I was a 21 year old kid with no clue how credit worked.
- It started with me applying for a Pier One Imports credit card at the local Pier One. They asked if I wanted to apply, I told them it was a waste of time because i always get turned down.
- I applied anyway and got approved for a $500 limit. I've since made purchases and paid them off each time before my first bill came. Right now I have the full amount available to me.
- I haven't received my Freedom card yet, still waiting on it to arrive, but I see it on my Chase website account along with my Pier One credit card.
I feel really good because that means that all my work to clear my credit finally paid off.
Not really a question just saying. Any advice or tips for using this card will be greatly appreciated.

You will want to sign up for the 5% categories so from now to the end of the year you get 5% on movies, restaurants and department stores up to $1500 spent.
It depends on your financial situation. If for example all you can afford is up to $400 you might want to go out and buy gifts for the holidays from Kohls or JCPennys. Then some inexpensive restaurants like Applebees, California Pizza Kitchen - not gift cards, actual dining. If all you can afford is $900 then spend more on restaurants and department stores.
You should get some flyers in the mail for upcoming categories. gas, supermarkets, improvement etc. just call and enroll if you find the category useful.
