Default 689 Credit Score (FICO): How Long To Improve It?

I'm 19 years old, and recently got my first credit card, today I found out my credit score to be about 689 for FICO, for Vantage 847. I was wondering, roughly how long it will take for this score to improve if i keep my credit card in check ?

I would have been higher, but i was being really stupid about three months ago, and probably applied for about 6 different credit cards in a week, all out of my league. But since i've done some research and hopefully i can get back on the track.

Is 689 a good credit score for someone my age, and just average. Also how much will it affect my score if i switch bank accounts to a new bank, as my current bank is fairly useless (Clydesdale Bank) i'm from Scotland.

689 is not horrible. Your inquiries drop off after 2 years. Just be responsible for about 2 years and it will pop up.
