I applied more than a week ago for the PenFed Visa and made the required $contribution$. Never received an answer so I called.

Rep says they need to verify my income and told me to fax in the income tax report for the last 2 years. Whaaaa? I'm applying for a credit card not a mortgage! My credit is excellent and my income should qualify with no problem. I don't feel very comfortable sending in my personal stuff to a company/person I never dealt with before.

Has anyone here experienced this? I've never ever been asked for income tax report for any credit card application.
