Need advice for getting a new card
OK, so I'm thinking of applying for a credit card. I have none.
Just a general question to start: if I need to pay a $2,500 bill off in two months, is it realistic to get a card to pay it in that time? If so, about how much time will I have to pay it off before a horrible interest rate kills me?
I have decent credit, no real idea what the score is, though. Is this possible or a pipe dream?
I guess another option would be a loan, but I have no idea about that either. Please let me know what you guys think. Thanks.

You need to figure out if the interest on a credit card would be more than any late fees you might have to pay as a result of paying the bill over time. You could also call your creditor and work out a payment plan without the need for credit cards.

it also depends how much money you have in your checking account and how much you bring home.
Citi has cards that have 0% interest for 12 months. however since you have 0 cards I would suggest TD bank. check them out go to a few branches with somebody like your Dad and explain to them your situation. also key bank is a good idea however I don't know what their interest rate starts at .

Most of the time, it is better to talk with creditor for a more affordable and convenient payment scheme before getting another loan or applying for a credit card to pay off loans. You will be burdened with too much interest. Also, 0 APR for 6 or 12 months is really not a relief because after that period the interest will be very high.
