Time After Approval, to Activate card?
I recently just got approved for the Amex Zync this weekend (9/3), and I'd really like to wait until around (9/19) to activate it, to use that date as the beginning of the cycle. I probably won't receive the card until later this week, but is there any issue waiting an additional week or two to activate it, even though I'll already have it? I don't really want to make it messy by changing due dates, and don't need to utilize it immediately.
It's more or less a super simple question, as I think it's strategically best for my spending habits to warrant the 19th-ish as my start date. Any word?

Your super simple answer is yes you can wait a week.

i received a card once while i was on vacation .... it was about a month before i activated it and i received a call around the three week mark from the card issuer asking if it had arrived. so, you should be fine with a couple of week.

So, if I just set up an account, does it start counting from the activation date or the approval date? I want a credit increase but I know AMEX has a minimum of 61 days before requests can be made.

Hm...on a bit of a different note, it's been well over a week and the Amex I was approved for has not arrived. I don't find it too alarming or anything, though I do find it rather unorthodox that my other Capital One card arrived within two days of it being approved (with customized image) as opposed to Amex's Zync.
I guess I'm just super impatient at the moment haha.

I was approved by AMEX on the 1st, received on the 14th. Approved by citi on the 30th, received on the 12th. \
They take their time.
