Default How to reallocate credit lines across multiple cards

Hi guys, ive heard alot of people talk about Amex and how easily it is to reallocate credit limits between cards. I was wondering if this is true with other cards/banks. I have the Citi forward card and want to increase my Cl on it by moving some of my available credit from another higher interest Citi card.

Has anyone delt wit Citibank in this mmanner? Also how should I go about doing this?

I am curious about the answer too. From my understanding, as long as it it the same issuer (I.E. Citi) it is possible. You will definitely want to talk to someone in person, here are the Citi phone numbers:

Citi: 888-201-4523 (New App Approval Status)
    Citi AA: 888-662-7759
    Citi App Status: 800-645-7240, 800-288-4653, 800-750-7453
    Citi: 800-444-2568 (Retention Dept.)
    Citi: 800-763-9795 (Credit Dept.)
Citi Credit Bureau Dispute Fax: 866-713-5028

Unfortunately American Express is one of the few that will allow this feature. Capitalone was the second bank I know but last I checked this was no longer available.

Just to be clear. You want to move limits between cards and leave them both open?

While I have never done that, I have moved credit to a one card while closing another at US Bank. It was not that hard. I requested the CLI and closed the other account on the same phone call. The account I closed was the newer of the 2 so it actually helped my credit score by lengthening my AAoA. I would assume that any reasonable bank that wants to keep their good customers would not have a problem with the request.

I've reallocated available credit from one card to another with the same issuer simply by calling the issuer. I've had no trouble doing this with Chase, FIA Card Services/Bank of America or American Express. I don't expect any other card issuer would object to a customer in good standing doing this.
    CARDS (and why)
FIA Card Services: Fidelity Amex (best cash back excepting 5% cards), Fidelity Visa (spare)
Chase: Freedom (only for 5% reward categories, purchases under $10), Sapphire (not in use), Amazon Rewards (for Amazon purchases only)
CapitalOne: No Hassle Rewards (no foreign transaction fee, my only MasterCard, not in use)
Amex: Blue Cash Everyday (not in use)
Discover: More (only for 5% reward categories)

I tried doing this with Chase and I am an excellent customer with an excellent credit score and I got rejected.

Chase, in my experience in the last two years, HATES reallocating credit lines and HATES increasing CLs and HATES dropping APR.

What I understand, this is part of bad debt credit card where in you can move balances to one card in order to pay off credit card debts. I haven't done it, but I suppose most banks will allow this in order for them to collect from cardholders instead having bad debts.
