Default New cc with high CL to raise credit?

I was thinking about applying for a new cc since my score has gone up past 700, wanting and hoping for a few thousand credit limit if possible. I was thinking this could boost my credit having a credit card with at least a few thousand credit limit, but not being used much. Is this a good idea or no? Would it help raise my credit even higher? If so what company/card you think would be generous enough to give me a more generous credit limit?

Well i guess it wouldn't be too bad applying if you haven't had too many inquiries in the last 2 years, the less the better. That does make sense tho if you had another revolving account with a relatively high limit on it, it would help lowering your overall credit utilization. And as for who would be more generous... I'm not to sure lol :/

well how many credit cards do you have? for example if you just have a Visa and a Discover or a Master card and a American Express or Visa and a Master card and you want to get a card that you don't have go for it. but if you have A Discover, Master card and American express and you want to get a card from the same company but a different design I wouldn't.

Yeah, I have 2 visa and a mastercard and a Amex, I guess I'll hold off on getting a new card because there's no point.

I would highly suggest a Discover card I've had mine since 1998. it's a great card. you only need to enter the last 4 digits of your account. I never had a problem with an account manager. the reception is crystal clear. I've never been turned down for a Discover card.
The only down side about the card is it isn't as widley accepted as Visa, Mastercard or American express. Meltdownblitz has any body ever offered you a Discover card through the mail or has anybody ever called you?

Yeah I've gotten offers through the mail but I'm not to sure if I want a discover card or not, I've heard both good and bad things about them.
