Default Horizon credit card is a total JOKE!

I went to fill out a Horizon credit card application because I saw reviews that said it was a $500 unsecured card that could be gotten with bad credit with guaranteed approval. After I begin the application I find out this is NOT a normal credit card like a I thought it was. This Horizon credit card is for shopping at some online store and that is the only place it can be used for spending, nowhere else! I thought this was a Visa or major card not a crap store card. It has a $29.95 application fee! I want to rebuild my credit but will this help me AT ALL?

Are Horizon credit cards scams in the way they market it? I could see that. But this isn't all that bad of a deal when you think about it.

If you just want credit cards for bad credit and lines of credit on your record for rebuilding purposes, then this can help do that right if your credit sucks big time like mine right?

Are there fees with Horizon? I wouldn't get this in place of a major Visa or Mastercard but am thinking about getting it along with 2 "real" credit cards, like a secured and a dept store (if I can qualify).

do not give them the 29.95 per month this will not help you establish credit. you don't want a horizon charge card, if this card doesn't come in a visa or mastercard credit card version skip it.

I would suggest a major department store in your area that has 3 or 4 stores like JCPenney, Sears or Macys but not Horizon.

Horizon sounds like QVC or HSN. you wouldn't want their charge card would you? their Mastercard would be acceptable but they don't have one. You should consider a good secured card like this or try this:

    Default Actually it's not...

Actually Horizon card services does help rebuild your credit. Go to . You can see all three of your credit scores, any cc you have, basically all debts. Helps you budget. But I've been watching my score and have never missed a payment and its going up. Horizon reports to all three credit bureaus. The only problem I've found is you are charged 24.99 every month, even if u buy stuff u have to pay the 24.99 a month plus ur min payment. THat is almost $300 per year.
