Default Anyone had any luck with pay for delete letters?

I am going to be sending out a bunch hopefully they'll bite I really don't see why they wouldn't especially if I'm going to offer the full amount.

No but I saw this on the bottom of a sample pay for delete letter-

Notice: This agreement is restricted. This is not a renewed promise to pay, but rather a restricted settlement offer only. By not signing below, you agree that the debt has not been renewed nor have any concrete written agreements beenexchanged.
That's interesting but I wonder those things hold true because they are written on the letter?

They probably don't but I am not going to send in payment unless they send back a written letter saying they agree to the terms.

That is a smart approach for sure. You can't always trust these companies so make sure everything is in writing before payment is sent. It would really be a drag to pay all that money and still be left with that on your credit report.
