I have used Citi Cards for several years, although for the last several months I have been using the AARP Visa which gives me 5% reward on EVERY charge for a period of 6 months. I will probably switch back to Citi after the 6 month period is over.

Anyhow the REAL test of how good a Credit Card's customer service is when your account has been compromised. I monitor my accounts nearly everyday so I know when something has gone wrong without having to wait for my statement! My account with a Citi Credit Card has been compromised a total of 2 times.

Both times I called, I was directed to the fraud department (if not directed, please insist on speaking with the fraud dept) and both times when I pointed out the incorrect charges they suggested that the account be terminated and the second time it happened they even suggested overnight shipping with the replacement card! So I was without my Citi Card for only a few hours! The only other thing Citi requires you to do is to send back a letter with the incorrect charges listed and have it notarized by your friendly neighborhood bank which is usually free. I have to give them an A+ for that effort! I do like speaking with Chase over the phone. If you have a Sapphire Card or better you can almost always speak with an intelligent person!

    Just my 2 cents worth!
